Principals to receive Institute
registration materials in April
Partnership
members should look for registration materials in April
for the 7th annual Principals’ Partnership
Summer Leadership Institute to sign up and be one of the
900-plus school leaders networking and learning at this popular
event. Materials will be sent via email.
This year’s Institute will run from July 14-17
at the Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort and Spa in Palm Desert,
CA. It will open with a reception and dinner Monday evening
and include three keynote sessions, school size alike discussions,
and team meetings. Additionally, workshops suggested by Partnership
principals will be offered on such topics as closing the
achievement gap; leadership; mathematics literacy; violence,
safety and gangs; and ninth grade transition, among many
more.
“One of the most popular aspects of the Institute is the opportunity
to network and share ideas with other principals,” said
Jim Garvin, senior consultant, The Principals’ Partnership. “This
year we expect more than 700 principals from 21 states to
attend, creating a wealth of information for networking.”
Garvin calls upon principals to register quickly when they
receive information to assist in planning for the Institute.
Since the Institute is underwritten by the Union Pacific
Foundation, there is no cost to the principal, school or
district.
