WASSP names us a "Platinum
Partnership"

The
Wyoming Association of Secondary School Principals has
presented Union Pacific with its Platinum Partnership Award
for the company’s support of Wyoming high school
principals through the activities of the Principals’ Partnership.
In the past two years, the Partnership has served 25 Wyoming
high school principals and has assisted WASSP in providing
high quality professional development to the state’s
principals.
Presenting the award, EmmaJo Spiegelberg, WASSP’s executive
director, said, “This is our highest award for educational
partnerships. We wish to recognize Union Pacific for their
generosity and their deep commitment to Wyoming’s educational
leaders.” Ursula Harrison, Wyoming’s Principal
of the Year, added, “The Partnership is the finest
professional development program I have ever experienced.”
The award was presented at an educational roundtable for
principals and state education officials sponsored by the
Partnership. This event was attended by Trent Blankenship,
State Superintendent of Public Instruction, as well as 15
Wyoming legislators, including the President of the Senate
and the Speaker of the House. Accepting the award for Union
Pacific, Dick Hartman, UP’s Special Representative
for Wyoming, said, “We are very pleased and grateful
for this recognition. We are proud of our work with Wyoming
principals and very impressed by the quality of leadership
we have found in our schools.” .
